🌟 RDM Club Meeting 5

Thank you to everyone who attended the latest eLabFTW RDM Club meeting, which was held on November 27, 2025. In this meeting, we presented the new features of the pre-Alpha version of the ELN template sharing hub to members of the RDM Club.

The template hub is now undergoing user testing, and once we are able to incorporate user feedback, it will be opened to the public. Very exciting!

We discussed several features that still need to be implemented, such as:

• Versioning of templates with persistent identifiers (PIDs)
• The ability to search templates by organization name, including an index with statistics about participating organizations
• Clear explanations of licensing requirements when uploading templates
• Adding a description section for each template
• Whether comments and ratings would be useful additions for users

There is still a lot of work to do regarding the visual preview of the templates, and we expect to be able to improve this soon.

Finally, we considered possible topics for future meetings, such as the development of data management plans (DMPs) and discussions around the data lifecycle.
